We visited Dungaire Castle, built in 1520. Owned, but never
lived in, by Oliver St. John Gogarty, a famous Irish literary figure (more on
him and James Joyce tomorrow). The castle is set up with each floor representing
how it looked in a certain era of its life. The picture I include represents the 1600s.
BTW, it has a GREAT gift shop!
