We visited Dungaire Castle, built in 1520. Owned, but never lived in, by Oliver St. John Gogarty, a famous Irish literary figure (more on him and James Joyce tomorrow). The castle is set up with each floor representing how it looked in a certain era of its life. The picture I include represents the 1600s. BTW, it has a GREAT gift shop!
